Cas scale set-up

In order to use a new CAS scale with Franpos, please follow the steps below.

 

  1. Change ECR type setting in CAS scale to Type 5 (image of CAS manual below):
  • Using power switch on the side, turn the scale off, press “# or T" key on the display controller and turn the power back on while pressing the “# or T” key. The scale will enter settings mode and the display will show “type X”. If it is not “type 5”, press Units toggle key (usually * key or lb/kg key) repeatedly until “type 5” option is shown. Then press “Zero” key to save the current setting. 

 

  1. Plug scale’s USB cable into one of the Kiosk’s USB ports
  2. Inside the Franpos app, go to Settings > Features. Toggle ON “Enable scale”. You should see a dropdown option for “Scale vendor”, the default value is set to Detecto, change it to CAS. You will be prompted to restart the app. After the restart, you should be able to use CAS to capture order item weight.
