Cash drawer troubleshooting
In this article, we will show you
troubleshooting steps that will help you resolve your cash drawer issues.
- Check Connections:
Ensure the drawer is connected to your receipt printer.
- Verify Paper Roll:
Confirm that the paper roll is installed in the printer. Also, check if
the printer detects the paper by tapping the feed button.
- Printer Settings:
- Go to Settings -> Devices -> Printers.
- Ensure "Open cash drawer" is set to option
Drawer #1.
- Tap on "Print Sample". The printer should
print a sample receipt and open the cash drawer.
- Register Settings:
- If step 3 is successful but the cash drawer does not
open automatically, go to the Register tab -> Options.
- If the drawer is open (not closed from the previous
day), you will see two related options: "Close drawer" and
"Drawer entry". Tap on "Drawer entry" to check if the
drawer opens automatically.
- If the drawer is closed, only the "Open
Drawer" option will be presented.
- Missing Drawer Options:
- If you do not see any drawer-related options under
"Options", follow these steps:
- Go to my.franpos.com -> Settings ->
Company settings and ensure the "Enable drawer count"
toggle is ON.
- If it is ON but options are still missing, go to the
"i" symbol -> Diagnostics -> Data reset ->
Reset Company settings.
