Customer Profile Share and Search in Multi Location Hierarchy
In this article you will learn how Customer Profile Share and Search in Multi Location Hierarchy works
In the example below, the chain consists of three locations: one designated as the Parent Location (Corporate) and the other two as Child Locations (Stores).
The Customer share is controlled by a Toggle Called "Share Customers with all locations" and is Enabled by Default in the Parent(Corporate) Account. This cannot be disabled.
When this toggle is turned on, it means the customer profiles in this account are shared with all other locations within the chain.
When the Franchisee logs into their account and navigates to the Multi Location Settings page, they can enable or disable the toggle as needed.
(Prerequisite: The user must have access to the Multi Location Settings page.)
When the Franchisee is logged into his account and navigates to Customer page by Default displays only the customer profiles which were created/belong to his/her store.
If an Owner or Employee wants to search for and access a customer profile from a different store, they should click on Advanced Options, select the appropriate filter, and perform the search accordingly
In the Register Application the Search functionality is almost the same but few filters apply.
This is how Search Function works inside Register application.
When the name is entered and the Search from the back office is clicked , no customer profile is displayed.
When a phone number is entered and the Search from the back office is clicked , the customer profile is displayed.
Similarly, if a store owner wants to export the customer list, they can only export customer profiles associated with their own store.
Additionally, when initiating a marketing campaign, a store owner can target only the customer profiles that belong to their store
