In this article, we will show you how to enable semi-integration mode for the Ingenico Desk 5000 and connect it to a Franpos POS.
- At the home screen, press [.,#*] to access the administrator menu.
- Scroll down and select Misc. Options.
- When prompted, enter the admin name and password, and then press [Enter].
- Select Semi-Integrated to enter the semi-integrated menu.
- Set the Enable SemiInteg setting to ON.
- Select Communication Type and then choose Ethernet.
- Enter the terminal port number (use port 443). Your terminal IP address will display on the screen. Write it down; you’ll need this later.
- Return to the semi-integrated menu and select Receipt Options.
- Choose Receipts at Terminal. Important: If any other option is selected except Receipts at Terminal, you will encounter error messages during the finalization of a sale.
- Press [Cancel] three times to return to the home screen.
- If your semi-integration configuration is complete, the following image of a cash register with "Welcome/Bonjour" will appear on the home screen.
To find the current IP address: Go to Admin menu (owner enters their password), then Setup menu, Communications, Ethernet, Current Setup, and IP address.
Enter the IP address and port into the FranPOS register under Settings → Devices → Payment Terminal.
**To do test transaction, Desk 5000 must be on home screen**
