Exclude group of customer from discount

Hello, in this article we are going to show you how to exclude a lead source or group of customers from specific automated discounts.

This may be necessary if you wish to exclude employees from using automated discounts since they already have an employee discount, or to exclude VIPs or other groups of people who already have discounts and you want to prevent discounts from stacking.

If you already have lead sources and lead source discounts configured, please just follow step 3. Add the discount code of the discount that the group is receiving and save.

Please see the steps below to exclude a lead source from specific discounts from scratch:

1. Create a dummy discount to be applied to your lead source with an attached configuration.
   
   
   
   
2. Apply this discount as the default for the selected lead source.
   
   
   
   
3. Under automated discounts, enable the 'Invalidate by manual discount' toggle, and in the 'Invalidate by specific discount' field, enter the discount code applied to the lead source.
