How to Delete a Category and Reassign Items in Franpos

This guide will walk you through the process of deleting a category while ensuring that its items are reassigned to a different category.

Steps to Delete a Category and Reassign Items

  1. Access the Franpos Dashboard

    • Go to my.franpos.com.
    • Navigate to the Catalog section.
    • Select Category.

  2. Select and Delete a Category

    • Choose the category you want to remove.
    • Click on the Delete button.

  3. Confirm the Deletion

    • The system will prompt you to confirm the removal of the category.
    • A list of stores where the category will be removed will be displayed.
    • Confirm the deletion.

  4. Reassign Items to Another Category

    • After confirming, the system will allow you to assign the items from the deleted category to a different category.
    • Select the desired category.
    • Click Apply.


      Keep in mind that this feature does not work with the 'Batch actions' feature, meaning you must select each category individually.
