Connect Astro
Prerequisites –
Acquire your credentials from Astro
Verify offers are live
Product exists in FranPOS catalog
Ask Astro Support to turn on API for connection
from FranPOS
Connection Setup -
Update the Astro settings –
Enable Astro Loyalty integration
Mode - Online/Offline
Select Matching field – Product code or SKU
Enter Username
Enter Password
Select Save
Frequent Feeder: Is a loyalty program that tracks the number of bags a customer has
purchased and rewards them with a free bag once they reach a certain threshold
defined by that program.

Using Astro
Offline - Offers you have enrolled in will be converted to FranPOS
discounts and will be applied automatically when needed)
Online - Items in the cart will be sent to Astro servers before processing
payment, they will be analyzed for available offers and deals, total amount of
offers will be added as Astro payment on the receipt (rebate));
Set the matching field: SKU or Product
code – depends on which one you have as a barcode;
Enter Username and Password and click Save and sync Astro offers.
Note - If the system gives you a notification
about the invalid API access, please reach out to your designated
trainer/deployment manager.
After the Astro is successfully connected, you can verify the presence of
affected products in the catalog and on the POS – All Astro products
will be marked by capital A.

Offline Mode:
Scan the products as usual – if you see a
red notification under any of the products in the cart then they are a part of
Astro offers/deals;
Click on the notification and the system finds a compatible discount that
customers can take advantage of;
Apply the discount and charge;
In the case of Buy 12 Get 1 program, you will be notified about a free bag once
customers are eligible to get it -> you can check their progress any time
you want under Options -> Astro deals.

Online Mode:
Scan the products – those that are
included in offers will be marked by red A;
Click charge – notification will appear letting you know that the offer (Buy X
Get X) was applied if customers have all required items.
Buy 12 Get 1 program works the same way as with offline mode;
Online mode allows you to access Astro website without leaving the register
-> click Options -> Astro Offers (make sure you have a customer attached
to a transaction first); it allows you to enter any changes manually if
customer forgot to sign in for a previous transaction.
Checking frequent feeder status –
Add a customer to the order on the register
Select Options
Astro Rewards
A list of applicable rewards will populate
Redeeming Astro rewards –
Add a customer to the order on the register
Add applicable items to the cart
Select charge (order will sync with Astro)
A pop-up will appear if customer has rewards
available
Select “Yes” to redeem the reward
Touch the item you want the reward to apply
to
Touch “Select” to apply the reward
Item in the cart will reflect the free price
Continue through the payment screen as usual
Tax will be applied if selected in the
back-office setup
Redeeming Astro Discounts –
Add a customer to the order on the register
Add applicable items to the cart
Select the Discount menu under charge
Select the Astro discount that applies to
the product(s)
Discount will be applied to the products
inside the cart
**Note that the discount will only apply
correctly if the Product Code or SKU in FranPOS matches exactly what is
provided by Astro**
