Hello,
In this article, we are going to provide troubleshooting steps for cases when the POS does not see the connected receipt printer. Please try these steps:
2. Make sure that the printer is connected to a power source by holding the Feed button; it should start feeding paper. If not, ensure that all cables are securely connected, and there is a paper roll inside the printer.
3. On the POS, inside the Register app, please go to Settings -> Devices -> Printers -> Pull down to refresh. Then tap on the printer -> Print sample receipt.
4. If the printer does not appear in the list, unplug all cables from the printer, wait for 5-10 seconds, and then plug them back in. Repeat step 3.
5. Try unplugging the printer's USB cable connected to the POS and plug it into a different port.
6. If none of the above steps work, on the POS, on the bottom left edge of the screen, there is a power button. Please hold it until the screen turns black. While you hold the button, you will see Power off or Restart options; please ignore this message and keep holding the button. After that, to turn the POS back on, just tap the power button, and the screen will light up in 5-7 seconds. After the POS is back on, please repeat step 3 again.
