Store Credit Feature
Overview - The Store Credit feature allows
businesses to issue and manage credit balances for customers directly within
the POS system. Instead of providing cash refunds or vouchers, Store Employee
using the POS can credit the customer’s account with a specific monetary value
that can be used for future purchases. This feature enhances customer
retention, improves refund flexibility, and provides better control over store
transactions

Issuing Store Credit
Store credit can be issued manually or automatically (e.g.,
when processing returns or exchanges).
Employee can assign (Depends on Access Permission ) the credit to an existing customer profile
or create a new customer account.
The POS generates a digital record of the credit issuance,
including the amount, reason, and Employee Name.
Redeeming Store Credit
During checkout, customers can choose to apply available
store credit toward their total purchase.
The system automatically deducts the redeemed amount and
displays the updated balance.
Store credit can be combined with other payment methods
(cash, card, or digital wallet).
Balance Tracking
Each customer’s available store credit balance is stored in
their profile.
Staff can view the credit history (issued, redeemed) from
the Back-office Customer Profile.
Benefits

repeat purchases.
Reduces cash refund costs and potential
fraud.
Simplifies return/exchange management.
Provides insightful data for marketing and
financial planning.
Example Workflow
A customer returns an item worth $50.
The cashier processes the return and selects “Issue
Store Credit” instead of refunding cash.
The customer’s account now shows a $50 Store Credit
Balance.
On their next visit, the customer makes a $70 purchase and
applies their $50 credit.
The POS deducts $50 from their balance, and the customer
pays $20 using another payment method.
