Text Messaging

Franpos allows you to send text messages (SMS) for marketing purposes, appointment reminders, service reminders and 2-way communication with your customers.

In order to use text messaging, you should first add Growth marketing add-on from the Billing page.

Steps to subscribe

 Please follow the steps below to add the Growth marketing add-on

Go to Settings >> Billing 
  1. Click on the "Request" button.
  2. Complete the info required in the Popup to acquire a number for your location. This process has to be repeated for each location.
  3. Number acquisition and verification takes about 2-3 weeks.
  4. Also you will see verified tag in your Growth marketing page once this process is completed





Few important things to note:
Text: 1 SMS credit is equivalent to 160 characters. Same rule applies to incoming messages.
Pictures:  1 picture is equivalent 4 SMS credit and same applies to receiving pictures it will consume 4 SMS.

For example when you send a message that contains just 60 characters, system will reduce your SMS credit by 1.  If you sent a message that contains 161 characters the system will reduce your SMS credit by 2. 
Special characters, which include emojis and certain types of text and symbols, shorten the message’s character limit from 160 to 70. They can also be difficult to tell apart from non-special characters.

2-Way messaging: When you use 2-way messaging feature both sending and receiving will reduce your SMS credit.
