How to Apply Employee Bonuses from the Payroll Report

Franpos allows you to quickly apply employee bonuses directly from the Payroll Report. This is helpful for businesses that reward employees based on performance, service sales, product sales, tips, or other bonus structures.

When to use this feature

Use this feature when you need to add bonuses for employees, such as groomers who completed grooms on time, handled pets properly, delivered great customer service, or met performance goals.

Steps to apply a bonus

  1. Go to Reports from the left menu.
  2. Open the Payroll Report.
  3. Select the payroll date range.
  4. Select the location and employee filter, if needed.
  5. Click Generate to run the report.
  6. Check the box next to each employee who should receive a bonus.
  7. Click Batch Actions.
  8. Select Apply Bonus.

Bonus options

In the Apply Bonus window, choose how you want to calculate the bonus.

  • Set bonus, $ — Add a fixed dollar bonus.
  • Percentage of service sales — Apply bonus based on service sales.
  • Percentage of product sales — Apply bonus based on product sales.
  • Percentage of gross sales — Apply bonus based on total gross sales.
  • Percentage of tips — Apply bonus based on tips.

Enter the bonus amount or percentage, then click Save Changes.

Example

If a groomer receives a 45% commission and an additional 5% performance bonus, you can select the employee, choose Percentage of service sales, enter the bonus percentage, and save the changes.

Payroll integration

Once the bonus is saved, the updated payroll information will be included in the Payroll Report. If you are using Franpos Payroll, this data can be sent directly to payroll, helping reduce manual Excel tracking and duplicate entry.

Important notes

  • Always generate the Payroll Report before applying bonuses.
  • Only selected employees will receive the bonus.
  • Review the bonus amount before sending payroll.
