How to Set Up MFA for Franpos Back Office Access

What is MFA?

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) adds an extra layer of security to your Franpos account by requiring both your password and a secondary verification code generated by your phone.

With MFA enabled, even if someone knows your password, they cannot access your account without the second code from your authentication app.

Supported apps include:

  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Duo Mobile

How to Set Up MFA

  1. Go to my.franpos.com and log in.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Enable MFA.
    Enable MFA option
  4. A QR code will appear. Scan it using an authenticator app.

How MFA Works

Each time you log in to my.franpos.com, the system will ask for your password and a 6-digit code from your authenticator app. This code refreshes every 30 seconds, providing strong protection against unauthorized access.

Warning Icon Important to Know

If an incorrect MFA code is entered 5 times in a row, the employee’s account will be locked automatically.

To unlock the account, a company administrator must reset the account from the employee settings page.

How to Manage MFA

Admins with the "Allow to reset MFA" permission can manage employee MFA settings in the Employees section.

  • Under the password section, you can see if MFA is enabled.
  • If an employee loses access to their authenticator app, you can reset MFA for them.
