Step 1 — Basics

  1. Go to Marketing → Add Campaign.
  2. Name it (e.g., Cross-Sell – Add-Ons After First Product Purchase).

Step 2 — Message & setup

  1. Send type: Automated
  2. Send criteria: First specific Product/Service order created (multiple Products/Services)
  3. Products & Services: Select one or more qualifying items.
  4. Campaign type: Text
  5. Offer (discount): Choose your promotion (e.g., 10% off next product).
  6. Recipients: Main contacts/parents
  7. Subject: You’ll love what pairs perfectly with your recent purchase
  8. Sample SMS content:
    Hi %CustomerFirstName%,
    Thanks for trying %Products%!
    You’ll love these add-ons that go perfectly with it — use code %DiscountCode% at %CompanyName%.

Note: SMS includes discount code only. Email campaigns can display a %DiscountBarcode% for scanning at checkout.

Step 3 — Schedule & audience

  1. Set Start date and Send time (e.g., 3:00 AM).
  2. Target customers after their first purchase of the selected item(s).

Step 4 — Preview & launch

  1. Preview and test the campaign with a sample customer.
  2. Verify product/service mappings and offers.
  3. Click Save to activate.
