Reactivation Campaign – Bring Customers Back

Reactivation Campaign – Bring Customers Back

💫 Reactivation Campaign – Bring Customers Back

Reconnect with customers who haven’t visited recently but have been active in the past. This automated campaign helps re-engage them with a personal message and a special offer to encourage their return.

What it does

  • Finds customers who completed an appointment in the last X days but none in the last Y days.
  • Excludes those with upcoming appointments.
  • Sends an SMS or email inviting them back with an incentive.

Why it works

  • Targets engaged but inactive customers — your easiest win-back audience.
  • Encourages repeat visits with timely reminders.
  • Runs automatically, saving staff time.
Placeholders:
%CustomerFirstName% → Customer’s first name  •  %CompanyName% → Business name  •  %DiscountCode% → Discount code (SMS)  •  %DiscountBarcode% → Barcode (Email)

Step 1 — Basics

  1. Go to Marketing → Add Campaign.
  2. Enable Include all customers across selected stores if needed.
  3. Name it (e.g., Reactivation – 60+ Days No Visit).

Step 2 — Message & offer

  1. Send type: Automated
  2. Send criteria: Customers who have completed appointment in last X days but no appointments in last Y days and no future appointments
  3. Parameter X: 120  •  Parameter Y: 60
  4. Campaign type: Text
  5. Offer (discount): Choose your promotion (e.g., $10 Off or 15% Off Next Visit)
  6. Recipients: Main contacts/parents
  7. Subject: We’d love to see you again!
  8. Sample SMS message:
Hi %CustomerFirstName%, we haven’t seen you in a while!
New services and offers await you at %CompanyName%.
Use %DiscountCode% for your next visit — we can’t wait to welcome you back!
Important: SMS includes the discount code only. Email versions can display a scannable %DiscountBarcode% at checkout.

Step 3 — Schedule & audience

  1. Set Start date and Send time (e.g., 2:30 AM).
  2. Use the parameters above to target returning but inactive customers.
  3. (Optional) Filter by state or ZIP for local targeting.

Step 4 — Preview & launch

  1. Preview your message and placeholders.
  2. Send a test SMS or email to confirm.
  3. Click Save to activate.

Best practices

  • Be warm and inviting. Use a friendly tone that focuses on reconnecting rather than selling.
  • Highlight improvements. Mention new services, upgrades, or add-ons to spark curiosity.
  • Keep the code short. Under 10 characters for easy entry at checkout.
Pro tip: Pair this campaign with your “We Miss You” SMS for layered retention — one after 45 days, another at 60+ days for stronger reactivation.
