Swap cable on PAX s300


Updating ECR comm type – 

  1. Press FUNC + 1
  2. Enter password
  3. Press green button
  4. Arrow down
  5. Touch Communication
  6. Enter password
  7. Press green button
  8. Arrow down 2x
  9. Touch ECR comm type
  10. Select “4” Ethernet
  11. Confirm port 10009
  12. Press green button
  13. Select TCP/IP
  14. Press Red button out of all menus


Replace PAX cable

  1. Unplug the power cord of the PAX or from USB port to power it down
  2. Take off the back cover with a Philips screwdriver
  3. Pull out the thick black cable
  4. Insert the original PAX cable without USB
  5. Make sure to go straight to not bend any of the pins
  6. Replace the back cover
  7. Connect Ethernet to the red end of the PAX cable
  8. Plug the PAX in with its power cord


Verify in communications that you have an IP address

Reconnect to the register by finding the serial number of the PAX
