The Ping Test is a quick and effective way to confirm whether the PAX S300 terminal is successfully connected to the internet. Follow the steps below to perform the test.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Press the Menu option on the PAX unit’s screen.
    If the menu does not appear, hold the blue “FUNC” button and press the 1 key.
  2. When prompted, enter the password:
    • Try the default password: 1234.
    • If that fails, enter today’s date in the MMDDYYYY format.
  3. From the main menu, press the on-screen Down Arrow to navigate to the second page of options. Select Communication.
  4. In the Communication Options menu, press the Down Arrow again to go to the second page of options. Select Lan Parameters.
  5. Press the Down Arrow once more in the Lan Parameters Options menu and select Ping.
  6. When prompted with the address "google.com", press the green key (Enter) to begin the ping test.
  7. If the device displays “PING OK”, the PAX S300 is successfully connected to the internet.
