If your Receipt Printer Is Not Printing & Cash Drawer Not Opening same time On Ejeton POS please follow these steps.
1. Please make sure there are three cables connected to your receipt printer ( Seiko II or Franpos White Receipt Printer )
a. Power cable of the actual receipt printer
b. Cable running from the cash drawer to the receipt printer ( RJ 45 cable - looks like phone cable )
c. Cable running from the receipt printer to the POS ( USB cable ) - should be connected to any of one USB port on the POS
2. If all the cables are connected properly , inside the register app please click on settings - devices - printers - verify if you able to see the receipt printer name.
If not please click on the three dots button - Select Auto Seach Printer and see if it finds the printer.
If the printer does not appear in the list, unplug all cables from the printer, wait for 5-10 seconds, and then plug them back in. Please verify.
If the above steps did not help -
There should be five USB ports on the POS Register terminal.
- Four are located underneath the employee screen.
- One is located on the side.
One port is being used for the scanner, One for the customer display, and One for the Printer, which should leave two available USB ports.
Please try connecting the Printer USB Cable to one of the available ports and verify
If none of the above steps work, on the POS, on the bottom left edge of the screen, there is a power button. Please hold it until the screen turns black. While you hold the button, you will see Power off or Restart options; please ignore this message and keep holding the button. After that, to turn the POS back on, just tap the power button, and the screen will light up in 5-7 seconds. After the POS is back on, please repeat step 2 again.
