When using Shopify with Franpos, all customer payments are processed
through a single Shopify banking account.
However, orders may be fulfilled by different Franpos locations.
To correctly distribute funds to the appropriate stores,
Franpos provides a Royalty Payout configuration
that allows you to pay stores their share of Shopify orders
that are received and managed in Franpos.
Why Royalty Payout Is Required
Because Shopify collects payments centrally:
- Some orders are placed online via Shopify
- Orders are routed to Franpos locations
- Revenue must be distributed back to the correct store
The Payout royalty type ensures that each store
receives its correct share of Shopify revenue,
based on your business rules.
Step 1: Create a New Royalty Record
Navigate to:
Settings → Royalty Setup
Click the + button in the top-right corner to create a new royalty record.
Configure the following fields:
-
Royalty Name:
Any descriptive name, for example: Shopify Payout
-
Calculation Day:
Payment Date
-
Calculation Type for Excluded Payments:
Weighted
After the royalty record is created, configure the payout rules:
Result
Once configured:
- Shopify continues to collect all payments centrally
- Franpos tracks which store fulfilled each order
- Royalty payouts calculate how much each store should receive
- Accurate payouts are generated based on real transaction data
This setup ensures transparent, automated, and accurate revenue distribution
for Shopify orders fulfilled through Franpos.
