Franpos R13 Manual OS Upgrade

  1. Download the firmware tool: Firmware Tool Download https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6rgu1q18zx17kdnkrhsxg/SD_Firmware_Tool._v1.45.zip?rlkey=itnh3e7cvktwx107gsa63xqim&dl=0 
  2. Download image with update https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KSTKpz9qb2vJU5MaoBQdZ6LWYTDRg_PY/view?usp=drive_link 
  3. Unzip the downloaded archive, and launch the SD_Firmware_Tool.exe program from the extracted folder. 
  4. Create the Micro-SD card image. Micro SD cards more than 32 GB are not supported. 



    Example of SD card (small one) that is required: 



  5. Unplug the POS device from power.
  6. Insert the SD card.



  7. Plug the power back in.
  8. Press the power button for 2 seconds to turn on the device.
  9. Wait at least 3 minutes (for dual-screen devices, the customer-facing display will show upgrade progress).
  10. Unplug the POS device from power again.
  11. Remove the SD card.
  12. Plug the power back in and turn the device on as usual.
  13. Set up the device (update time zone, network settings, etc., as needed).
